Lune Violette: A Private Commission by L’Amour Pearls
By the L’Amour Pearls Atelier
Some jewels are made for many. This one was made for one.
Lune Violette began as a private commission, and it is one of the pieces we are proudest of. With our client’s kind permission, we are sharing it here for the first time: a pair of earrings and a matching necklace, designed entirely by our atelier, from first sketch to final setting.
The idea: a violet sky and a rising moon
Every commission starts with a story. This one began with a single image: the hour when the last light leaves the sky, the moon rises, and the horizon turns violet.
We wanted to capture that moment in jewellery. Deep amethysts stand for the twilight. Lustrous pearls carry the softness of moonlight. Halos of pavé sparkle echo the first stars.
The earrings
The earrings are where the story is told most clearly. A round amethyst, rich and deeply coloured, sits within a crescent of pavé-set stones. Beside it, a small star glimmers, like the first one to appear at dusk.
Below, two pearls hang one above the other: a round pearl, calm and luminous, and a baroque pearl whose shape was made by nature and will never be repeated. The contrast between the two is deliberate. One is perfect and still, the other is free and individual.

The necklace
Where the earrings tell a story, the necklace sets a rhythm. Amethysts and pearls alternate along a single line, each framed in a halo of pavé, like a string of moons and stars. At the centre, a baroque pearl hangs free, finished with a delicate cap, and catches the light with every movement.
Most of our design time went into the spacing: how close the stones sit, how the line curves at the neckline, and how the baroque pearl balances the regularity of the chain. A piece like this should feel considered from every angle.

Why amethyst and pearl?
Amethyst has long been associated with royalty, calm and clarity, and its violet is one of the most flattering colours against a pearl’s soft glow. Pearls, meanwhile, are the heart of our house. Together they give a look that is traditional enough to feel timeless, and different enough to feel new.
Each pearl and stone is chosen by hand. We look for lustre, colour and character, and we reject far more than we use.
Made for one woman
Lune Violette is a commission, not a collection. It was created for one client, and it is not available to purchase. We are sharing it because it shows what our atelier can do when we are given creative freedom, and what we would like to do for you.

Commission your own
A bespoke piece does not need to be grand to be personal. It might mark a milestone, a wedding or an anniversary. It might be a gift, or simply the jewel you have never found in a shop.
If Lune Violette has inspired you, we would love to hear your story. A commission with L’Amour Pearls usually begins with a conversation about what you love, how you would like to wear it, and the moment you want it to remember. From there, we move through design, stone and pearl selection, and handcrafting, keeping you informed at every step.
